The vitamins are often taken as a part of diet and in case of many they are taken in as dietary supplements. High levels of beta-carotene and retinol in blood may decrease the chance of occurring of lung cancer in us. But intake of such carotenoids by means of dietary supplements may have a reverse effect on the body. Instead of reducing the chance of lung cancer, it may increase the chance of the lung cancer.
